Same agent as Varane: Glazers looking to sign new “revelation” for Manchester United in January

This season, Manchester United’s depth in the squad has already been put to the test, as several injuries have made it difficult for the team to regain its best form under Erik ten Hag. With the pressure growing, the Dutchman will be extremely irritated with his team’s Premier League start and the fact that he still doesn’t have a full roster to pick from.

The current campaign has thus far demonstrated United’s need for January reinforcements, whether that be for the sole purpose of bolstering their roster or making sure Ten Hag’s starting lineup is capable of finishing in the top four. Nevertheless, rumours have it that the Red Devils are interested in signing a certain La Liga forward.

current news about Man Utd transfers

During the summer transfer window, United signed players like Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, and Mason Mount in an effort to assemble a team capable of challenging Manchester City, the reigning treble winners. But after seven games this season, Ten Hag’s team is on a terrible run that has already resulted in four losses, and that difference appears to be much greater than it was the previous year.

Those at Old Trafford appear poised to look for more signings in the hopes of making things better when the January transfer window opens. The Red Devils, and thus the Glazers, are reportedly hoping to sign the Real Sociedad forward during the winter transfer window. This information comes from publications in Spain that offered an update on Umar Sadiq’s Man Utd transfer. The Nigerian may make any transfer simpler to close because he and United centre back Raphael Varane share an agent.

Considering that the Red Devils have just added Hojlund to their striker group, Sadiq may be used as a fallback if Anthony Martial plays out his contract before potentially departing on a free agent in the summer.

Umar Sadiq is who?

To put it mildly, Manchester United’s alleged interest in Sadiq is intriguing. Hailed as a “revelation” in Spain by journalist Josh Bunting, the Sociedad man was sidelined for most of the previous season due to injury and hasn’t exactly had a great start to the current campaign, failing to score in eight appearances across all competitions.

In the brief time he did play last season, Sadiq did show flashes of his ability, scoring three goals in six games across all competitions, which may help explain why United is supposedly considering a move. The forward, who is currently 26 years old, may be approaching the peak of his career and, thus, his greatest form.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former manager of Manchester United, was reportedly pleased by Sadiq during his time as a player for Partizan Belgrade. He expressed his admiration for the Nigerian on the official Manchester United Twitter account, saying: “I’ve watched many of their games.” They are a side with a big, powerful striker, some skill, and two or three really interesting players.”

Having said that, it would be intriguing to watch if United decides to chase Sadiq’s signing when the January transfer window opens or if the attacker decides to play for Sociedad and La Liga for the foreseeable future.
