Man United ‘pressing’ to sign 29-year-old this summer, pushing ‘strongly’ to acquire free agent

In an effort to get Adrien Rabiot to Old Trafford this summer, Man United is exerting a lot of effort.

Adrien Rabiot and Manchester United are hardly new acquaintances. The Red Devils seem to have been interested in signing the Frenchman for the past several summers, based on rumors.

That situation is again reoccurring. Sport Witness is the source of information from La Stampa, an Italian media organization. As the transfer window is about to open, Rabiot is reportedly on the Reds’ radar.

Rabiot’s attempt to negotiate a new deal with his present team, Juventus, is now on hold as the parties are unable to come to a consensus. The Frenchman is unlikely to sign a new contract with the Old Lady.

Rabiot appears to be unsure that Juventus will give him the €7 million a year he demands to stay in Turin.

This is where United enters the picture; the Old Trafford team is currently “pressing” for the 29-year-old’s signing this summer. Additionally, the Reds are’strongly’ pursuing the signing of the prospective free agent. Bayern Munich is said to have expressed interest as well.

Sport Witness reports that the identical incident occurred the previous summer. We are all aware of the outcome. Rabiot used United’s desire to get more money by pledging his future to Juventus for one additional year. Should he repeat such behavior, would I even be mildly surprised? Not even close.

Rabiot is a passable athlete. Not a thing more. Not a little less. It seems improbable that he will be talented enough to start on this Premier League championship team. He would perform as a member of the squad. It all relies on the amount of money he is pursuing. This move seems like a complete non-starter if the numbers are anything like the ones that were mentioned last summer.
