Fabrizio Romano confirms United’s biggest mistake is set to take over European giant in shock move

Numerous rumors indicate that Ralf Rangnick, the former temporary manager of Manchester United, is expected to take over as Bayern Munich’s new coach.

The German has a terrible reputation among United supporters because to his miserable tenure as the team’s head coach, during which time his 41.7% Premier League match winning percentage was the lowest of any coach since 1992.

He did, however, receive some appreciation from supporters for his candid assessment of the team’s performance when he said that the team needed “open heart surgery.”

The revelation that the majority of players are up for sale indicates that the club perhaps should have paid more attention to the contentious manager two years ago, since new part-owners INEOS have already completely overhauled the executive level with a plethora of new faces coming to Old Trafford.

Rangnick has now regained his reputation after leading Austria to qualification for Euro 2024 and being connected to the soon-to-be vacant Bayern Munich position.

Things have obviously changed since the 65-year-old first denied that he would be interested in the Bundesliga position since he was concentrating on Austria’s Euro campaign.

“Negotiations between Bayern Munich and Austria boss Ralf Rangnick over him becoming their new manager are ongoing,” according to the BBC.

“It’s thought that Bayern believe Rangnick can help the team recover after Bayer Leverkusen ended their 11-year winning streak in the Bundesliga this year.”

The two most intriguing items are probably related to Bayern’s desire to make a choice quickly and the fact that they are presently not speaking with anybody else.

“A decision is anticipated before the end of the week, and Bayern are not in talks with any other manager. Rangnick is thought to be drawn to the position as it offers him the chance to turn things around at the club during a period of uncertainty.

Similarly, Fabrizio Romano has said that the hiring of the Austrian manager to the Allianz Arena is “really close,” and he has stated that manager is about to take over.

Right now, everything seems to be pointing to him taking over as manager of Bayern Munich. Imagine the change in fortune that would bring about.

The former Red Bull Leipzig coach’s reputation was at an all-time low when he departed United in the spring of 2022, having been mocked during his time in England. Now, though, he’s about to land one of the biggest positions club football has to offer.
