“Finally…” – Fabrizio Romano says Man United officials are eyeing move to sign new “wonderkid”

Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has stated that Manchester United is in the running for a “wonderkid” this summer.

Ten Hag demonstrates that youth can succeed at Old Trafford.
Even if the Red Devils’ campaign has been disappointing, their youthful players have been a big part of their bright spots.

In Erik ten Hag’s front line, Alejandro Garnacho has practically become unstoppable, and in central midfield, Kobbie Mainoo has done the same, earning an England debut during the most recent international break.

Willy Kambwala, the centre back, and Omari Forson, the attacker, have also made appearances in the Premier League, albeit maybe more out of need than choice.

Jude Bellingham is a prime example of how United has lost out on youthful talent in the past when they haven’t provided first-team guarantees. In 2019, Bellingham declined a transfer to Old Trafford in favour of a move to Borussia Dortmund.

That seems to have changed, though, since Ten Hag took over, and it’s even said to be a reason in why, even though he finished last in his Champions League group and is certain to miss out on next season’s competition, he could still be in charge at the conclusion of the year.

They may yet win the FA Cup, but that would only serve to mask the shortcomings of an otherwise unsatisfactory and uneven season. On the other hand, Ten Hag’s youth policy could once again assist them draw in future stars.

Man Utd focusing on the “wonderkid”
Now, Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, has provided new information on just that, citing League One star Baylee Dipepa, who was linked to a move to Old Trafford last month.

Currently playing for Port Vale, the 17-year-old is a great player. In just 609 minutes of action this season, he has made 20 appearances, scoring three goals and dishing out two assists. Numerous teams have expressed interest in it, and the Red Devils are undoubtedly among them.

Romano acknowledged having “followed and tracked” the young talent in an interview with Caught Offside, but he declined to comment on any potential moves at this time.

Finally, the Man United scouting squad has been keeping tabs on 17-year-old Port Vale sensation Baylee Dipepa. We’ll have to wait and see whether they want to move forward with discussions, but that will rely on the new board they are now constructing.

Fabrizio Romano provides an update on Man Utd’s “great manager”
He’s been mentioned as Erik ten Hag’s replacement.
Although he did admit that no formal proposals had been made, Port Vale boss Matt Hancock has previously acknowledged that they might not be able to retain Dipepa should bids come in.

“No formal approaches or proposals have been made to us. We don’t have the delusions to believe that someone who is scoring goals in League One and outperforming Premier League attackers for the England under-17 team won’t be watched closely. We’ll wait and see what the future brings.”

Old Trafford could hold the key to that future.
