Man Utd have eyes set on signing £68.3million forward

Joshua Zirkzee has been connected to Manchester United for a while, and the club is anticipated to move to sign him during the summer transfer window.

A report from Corriere dello Sport yesterday (see news graphic below) stated that Man Utd is interested in signing the Dutch forward.

Zirkzee is one of the “most courted attackers” in Serie A, according to the Rome-based media site, and teams including Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan, and Arsenal are interested in signing him.

The 22-year-old striker has helped Bologna score nine goals and contribute six assists so far this season in all competitions.

He played 61 minutes in yesterday’s league match, which the Rossoblu won 4-0 against Lecce.

According to rumours from Italy in January, Man Utd would have to spend £68.3 million (or 80 million euros) to get Zirkzee, same as they did to entice Hojlund to come with them last summer.

In his sixteenth game in the tournament, the Danish centre forward netted his first Premier League goal, and he hasn’t stopped since.

Guardiola is happy that Manchester City passed the “tough” Everton test.

In their own home, Man Utd defeated Aston Villa 2-1 last night thanks to a goal from Hojlund in the first minute of play.

Ten Hag lacks a reliable number nine player in the squad (apart from the former Atalanta striker), and the department has to be bolstered during the upcoming transfer window.

Comment: Should Manchester United offer £68.3 million to sign Bologna’s Zirkzee?
