“What a player…” Micah Richards says Man Utd have a player with ‘absolutely everything’, Danny Murphy agrees

In the FA Cup, Manchester United defeated Newport County.

Just, though. Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo’s goals at Rodney Parade gave Erik ten Hag’s team a 2-0 lead, but they had to work hard to lose that lead.

Thank goodness, goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Antony made it so Manchester United won 4-2 and advanced to the FA Cup quarterfinals.

There were a few excellent acts that evening, but Mainoo’s rising starlet was undoubtedly the best.

Once more, the 18-year-old was in a different class in the park’s centre. He scored his first-ever goal for the starting lineup, marking the first of many to come.

Speaking on BBC commentary, Danny Murphy emphasised Mainoo’s superiority in the first half. He declared:

Murphy says, “He’s been a real plus for Manchester United this season.” The way he appeared. Although he was well-known within the organisation, he seems to be adjusting to playing football on the first team quite quickly.

“He appears to be well-established. Both comfy and good without the ball. In the market, he will save them a tonne of money.

At the break, Micah Richards made a similar statement, saying he couldn’t find anything wrong with United’s young midfield player.

What an athlete he is. Both on and off the ball. He has everything,” Richards remarks.

This season, Kobbie Mainoo has been Manchester United’s bright spot.

Nothing at Old Trafford has been flawless this season, it’s reasonable to say, but Mainoo has to be the best development for the team in a long time.

A player who exudes class is easy to spot, and Mainoo is full of it. What’s the finest part, though? He will only continue to improve. You are a blessing to us, Kobbie.
