A highly-regarded Brazilian player is set to join Manchester United, making a significant statement of intent.
In the upcoming months, significant changes are anticipated at Old Trafford as Sir Jim Ratcliffe assumes leadership of Manchester United’s football operations. In an attempt to turn around the team’s on-field performance, Erik ten Hag appears to be focusing mostly on a roster revamp.
The Red Devils will need to target several important spots in the team in order to do this, as underachievers are expected to leave and contracts are set to expire in the summer. Manchester United is trying to finish their business as soon as possible, so one priority signing already appears to be set in stone.

Manchester United is reportedly hoping to buy Juventus centre defender Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer season, per Sky Sports Italia.
A January transfer is extremely unlikely given that the Old Lady is vying for the Serie A championship this season, especially in light of Manchester United’s financial constraints. However, the club’s management is preparing a move at the end of the campaign to strengthen their weak defensive.
Bremer has participated in every minute of Juventus’ 2023–2024 Serie A matches, underscoring his value to the team as they have only let up 12 goals in 21 contests. In contrast, Manchester United has conceded 29 goals in the same number of games, and its back four are unreliable because of injuries.

Erik ten Hag obviously prefers Lisandro Martinez at left center-back, but there are more options on the right side. Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans have all failed to secure a starting position, which may be the reason the Red Devils plan to revisit the central defender position come summertime.
Bremer is entering his prime at age 26, but his price is not cheap. Bremer’s current Juventus contract expires in June 2028, and Transfermarkt values him at £43 million. If he keeps up his present level of performance, that figure will probably grow significantly.
