£42.8million star now offered to Manchester United – Decision made

In an attempt to strengthen the defence at Old Trafford, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag pursued the signing of Dutch international Denzel Dumfries last year.

According to reports, Inter Milan has extended a bid to Manchester United for the adaptable right back, but the Red Devils have made an odd choice.

The Sun published an exclusive story claiming that the Nerazzurri made an offer to the Dumfries in exchange for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who was signed by United.

To the astonishment of the supporters, the Old Trafford team has rejected the suggestion.

Dumfries is an excellent wing-back, and Man Utd need a flexible fullback who can play well in both the attacking and defensive thirds.

The 27-year-old has helped Inter Milan score five goals this season—two goals and three assists—in the Serie A.

Conversely, Wan-Bissaka has only scored two goals in his professional career to far and has only offered one assist in the Premier League.

The fact that United intends to let go of the former Crystal Palace player is another reason why the decision to reject the swap deal is startling.

According to reports, Manchester United wants to return the 26-year-old to the Eagles in order to entice Michael Olise, a French attacker, to leave Selhurst Park.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Dumfries is valued at approximately £42.8 million by Inter Milan, and his present contract at the San Siro expires next year.

Do you think Man Utd made the correct choice by rejecting the exchange proposal?
