Golden opportunity for United to snap up €85m star striker for a bargain

Goncalo Ramos, the forward, is allegedly having his future at Paris Saint-Germain reevaluated.

The Portugal international is currently being watched at Parc des Princes after securing a permanent transfer from Benfica to the French powerhouses.

Manchester United is keeping a careful eye on the situation thanks to increased financial support.

The 22-year-old striker Ramos first came to PSG on loan in the summer of last year. The action featured an obligatory purchase clause and was intended to relieve Financial Fair Play demands.

Ramos was a target for United, but PSG sealed the deal in November, paying £69 million to get him.

Ramos’s performance at PSG has been questioned despite the high expectations.

Concerns have been raised over coach Luis Enrique’s faith in the player by the French publication L’Equipe (via The Mirror). PSG may think about moving Ramos given his four goals in 19 games played and decreasing playing time.

This happens at a time when United is trying to bolster its offence, helped by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment.

Rasmus Hojlund, a 20-year-old player recently acquired by the Red Devils, has produced inconsistent performances.

His Premier League play has been less stellar even though he leads the league in goals scored.

United may rekindle their interest in Ramos as part of their plan to strengthen their attacking line. The team is aiming to sign a center-forward, a No. 8, a center-back, and a right-back as part of its larger transfer plan.

United may have a chance to strengthen their team if PSG is willing to negotiate for Ramos.

United may be in a good position to sign the 22-year-old given the current transfer market.

There is more reason to believe that PSG will be prepared to let go of the forward, therefore the idea of a lower asking price is plausible. Ramos may now be acquired for a far smaller sum than the €85 million he was originally signed for.

This possible deal results from United’s prior demonstrated interest in the player in addition to PSG’s wish to sell.

In this case, United has a rare chance to sign a top player at a price that defies current market trends. Ten Hag’s club may be able to take advantage of this opportunity this month.
