Manchester United may be set to let go of another prodigy at Old Trafford since they have implemented a specific transfer strategy this window that involves young players, according to a report.

Man United’s sales in January…

Manchester United’s success as a club has been largely attributed to its youth development efforts over the years. However, an increasing number of outstanding players are being farmed out by the club, either in anticipation of a sale or to provide first-team opportunity in a different setting.

Hannibal Mejbri, who left Old Trafford to join Sevilla on a loan basis this winter, is one who fits into the former category. The La Liga team still has the option to buy the Tunisian international for £17.2 million, according to BBC Sport.

Another player to leave this transfer window on loan to join Benfica, the Portuguese powerhouse, is Alvaro Fernandez. Erik ten Hag is taking a more brutal approach at the club, hoping to improve the calibre of young players who should be regularly included in the first squad.

Deals like this one are intended to give the Premier League’s biggest clubs a greater possibility of recovering money for individuals in order to assist them fulfil their Financial Fair Play commitments, since stockpiling has become a problem within the Red Devils’ playing group.

Facundo Pellistri, a Uruguay international, has also told Manchester United that he wants to leave the team this month. Rumour has it that Granada is interested in the 22-year-old, which would lend credence to the idea that the club is changing its policy about player sales.

It should come as no surprise that a recent source has indicated that a fourth Red Devils prospect may be leaving Old Trafford this month after the other three.

Rhys Bennett is about to leave Manchester United.

Football Insider reports that Rhys Bennett, a young player for Manchester United, is in advanced discussions to go on loan to Greater Manchester-based Stockport County, the leaders of League Two.

Bennett, who joined the Red Devils at the Under-10 level, has been selected for four senior matchday squads and led their youth team to the FA Youth Cup in 2022.

He fulfilled his potential in the preseason as well, playing in the first half of the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Leeds United in Oslo before suffering an injury that prevented him from taking part in the team’s US trip.

Still, without senior football experience, he won’t grow much, and relocating to Stockport County will provide him with a great chance to play regularly.
