Man Utd submit offer for £100m Premier League player, have edge for signing

According to media sources, Manchester United has made a loan offer to Brighton for £100 million-rated player Evan Ferguson.

The Irish international is wanted by the Red Devils, according to Football Insider, which surfaced two months ago. The Sun estimated his value at almost £100 million.

According to a recent FT story, Man Utd made a bold bid to sign the 19-year-old from the Seagulls on a loan basis.

Chelsea also attempted to sell their valuable asset through a loan bid, but the Amex company rejected it and made it obvious that they would prefer a pure cash deal.

Ferguson scored the first goal of the season against Luton, capping off an incredible start to the year. He scored an incredible hat-trick against Newcastle United three weeks later.

But his play declined; he hasn’t scored in the Premier League since November and has started the last three league games as a substitute. Maybe that’s why Manchester United attempted to get him on loan.

The news source claims that United may be able to recruit the adolescent phenomenon in the summer, giving them an advantage over Chelsea, who are primarily interested in Nigerian international and Napoli star Victor Osimhen as a striker.

The eight-cap attacker has made 11 Premier League starts for Brighton this season, scoring six goals overall. Hojlund, Ten Hag’s primary centre forward, has only managed two goals in 13 starts.

Do you think Manchester United should sign Evan Ferguson and is he really worth £100 million?
