Veteran of the Premier League Michail Antonio has recently talked about the form and future of one of Manchester United’s newest players.

There are still some causes for hope despite the general doom and gloom that Erik ten Hag seems to bring with him to Old Trafford these days.

Supporters will be hoping that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will lead the team into an entirely new chapter of prosperity.

A few players are also proving that they have what it takes to be major players for the next five or six years, based on their performances this season.

In addition to Rasmus Hojlund’s advancements, Kobbie Mainoo of United is also strikingly handsome for an 18-year-old.

Antonio was praising Mainoo’s potential because he believes the midfielder is currently accomplishing amazing things at Manchester United.

Antonio stated on the “Footballer’s Football Podcast” that Mainoo had the entire world at his disposal.

ADVANCED STORIES OF MANCHESTER UNITED

At Manchester United, Michail Antonio acknowledges Kobbie Mainoo’s potential.

Antonio remarked to Callum Wilson, “What’s crazy about him is that I saw a tape of him playing for the academy or the reserves last season.

He was really controlling the game. He was a complete farce.

He seems to be playing with the reserve or youth teams based on the few games I’ve seen him participate in.

“He is in charge of the tempo, exudes confidence, and simply believes in what he is doing.”

“He is acting as though he has been playing for years. It’s challenging since young people often exhibit nervousness.

Modifications are required.

Antonio is correct to highlight Mainoo’s enormous potential at Manchester United, but certain worries remain.

When Erik ten Hag’s team plays against formidable opponents, they don’t play progressive, positive football.

Ian Wright was recently talking about the adjustments that Ten Hag needs to do in order to support Mainoo in realising his full potential.

Whether Old Trafford is still the ideal place for a young player to realise their potential is debatable, but Jadon Sancho would undoubtedly disagree.

Even though Mainoo is still young, the club’s academy has done a great job training him, and he seems prepared to take on leadership roles for his team.
