Arthur Vermeeren is the most recent name in the news as Manchester United looks at long-term possibilities to bolster the midfield.

Football Insider exclusively reported that Man Utd is preparing the groundwork for a mega-money move to recruit the Antwerp-based Belgian international.

According to the news source, the Red Devils are scouting the young man and keeping in touch with him to make sure they can hire him.

According to reports, Antwerp is willing to pay Man Utd an initial fee of £25 million to sign their prized asset, which is valued at £50 million.

Arthur had a significant role in the Belgian team’s victory in the Jupiler Pro League during the previous season.

The 18-year-old midfielder helped the squad keep no fewer than 13 clean sheets during his 18 starts in the league.

He scored the game’s first goal in the 3-2 victory over Spanish champions Barcelona this season, and he also contributed two assists in the Champions League matchup against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Arthur, who can play both the DM and CM positions well, has directly contributed to eight goals overall (six assists and two goals). He has already received two Belgium caps.

With Mount and Amrabat, the summer additions, underperforming and Casemiro and Eriksen past their prime, Ten Hag needs to make some changes in the middle of the park.
