‘Keep an eye’: Journalist thinks ‘incredible’ forward might actually join Manchester United this month

Without a doubt, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team could use a lift in January; a fresh addition would be appreciated.

This season has been incredibly uneven for United so far, with more terrible than excellent performances.

And even though there hasn’t been much discussion about new players joining Man United in January, ten Hag might have a surprise in store.

Rasmus Hojlund is displaying a lot of promise, but he doesn’t yet appear prepared to take the entire goal-scoring load for the team.

Given his low offer, it appears that Anthony Martial will depart when his contract ends this summer.

Nevertheless, writer Ben Jacobs has recently advised keeping a watch on one striker’s future while keeping Manchester United in mind.

Jacobs answered a question about whether it was feasible to think that United would sign a player this month while encouraging a Q&A on X.

Although Jacobs believed that an arrival would depend on Martial departing, he did mention that Choupo-Moting of Bayern Munich may be a viable possibility.

“I believe that if (and this is a big if) Anthony Martial was to leave, then sure,” he stated. I don’t think Sancho’s exit alone ensures an aggressive newcomer.

“I would monitor Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting of Bayern.”

In January, Erik ten Hag might bring Choupo-Moting to Manchester United.

34 years old A major Premier League team wouldn’t normally recruit Choupo-Moting, but is he a success?

There’s no denying that United should have higher goals than just winning this season, but the Cameroonian might be the ideal man to assist Hojlund in the near term.

Even if a loan arrangement is mutually beneficial, certain supporters might not be satisfied.

Choupo-Moting has mostly played brief cameos off the bench for Bayern since Harry Kane joined the team.

Furthermore, the arrival of Kane’s backup in January may not go over too well with those United supporters who were actually excited to see him join ten Hag’s team last summer.

“Amazing” In the near run, Choupo-Moting would undoubtedly be preferable to Martial, but United must have other viable options.

Nevertheless, Gary Neville believes United is still having to pay for a £60 million error from years ago.
