Man United told to sign Saudi Pro League star that ‘would change their attack’

Manchester United has been instructed by Louis Saha to enter the transfer window and recruit a standout forward from the Saudi Pro League.

Just over a week has passed since the January transfer market opened, and Erik ten Hag is still debating whether to add players before the second half of the season.

After losing to Nottingham Forest in the league last weekend for the ninth time this season, Man United is currently in eighth position in the Premier League standings.

Rasmus Hojlund, who signed with the Red Devils for £72 million last summer, has only scored once in the Premier League this season, as the team has only managed 22 league goals all season.

Saha believes Ten Hag should go after former Real Madrid player Karim Benzema in an effort to increase their offensive firepower up front.

After moving to Al Ittihad, he has only been in Saudi Arabia for six months, yet he has been connected to a move outside.

Saha, who scored 42 goals for Man United in his tenure there, thinks the 36-year-old would “shake up” his former team’s offensive strategy and would undoubtedly score goals.

“What the United frontline needs is someone like him [Benzema], who will shake things up. He will undoubtedly connect the play better and score goals. “That’s just a fantasy, but Karim is still a very professional guy. Hojlund will learn a lot from this kind of striker,” he said to Betting Odds.

Saha also discussed his impressions of Hojlund’s play, who scored his first Premier League goal in his team’s thrilling comeback victory over Aston Villa last month.

“Hojlund is at the proper club, but it’s unjust to put him in charge of the number nine spot by himself in the absence of an experienced player. Being a striker requires a different mindset than being a skillful winger or attacking midfielder, the man said.

“I don’t think he can see runs in the box; the Premier League is a tough league for stuff like that. You need someone to show you runs in the box.” I was in the band with [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer and [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy. I got the opportunity to see those legends and pick up my runs and abilities from them.”
