Manchester United Interested In Signing Controversial Premier League Striker

Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, has been linked to Manchester United, according to a Football Transfers report.

United won’t be able to close a transaction until January 2024 because of Toney’s current footballing suspension, which he received after being found guilty of betting on football while a professional player.

United’s striker position needs more depth. Erik Ten Hag is eager to expand his options at center-forward in the summer window despite already having Rasmus Hojlund at the club for a total of £70 million.

Before his season was shortened due to the imposition of his football suspension, Toney scored 21 goals in 35 appearances for the Bees in all competitions.

Who else except Manchester United is thinking about acquiring Ivan Toney?
Toney has been linked with transfers to teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer transfer window, so Manchester United are not the only team interested in signing him in January.

Toney recently admitted in an interview that he has been a “lifelong” Liverpool fan, which will no doubt infuriate Red Devils supporters. However, the Reds are not said to be interested at this time.

When he returns, will Ivan Toney still be the same player?
This is a challenging topic to answer because Toney is not only forbidden from playing football, but also from engaging in any football-related activity, including practising.

Toney will be working as hard as he can on his own to stay in match shape, but nothing can replace working out with your teammates. Until his suspensions are up, he won’t have access to the same level of gear and won’t be able to practise playing in Premier League games.

Toney has exceptional natural talent, though. He should be able to continue playing at a high level because to his inherent talent, but do not be surprised if he is rusty for a few games when he returns to the pitch.
