£83,000 a week versatile star agrees to join Man United – Report

The Premier League club’s pursuit of Benjamin Pavard, who is rumoured to be eager to join them, appears to have intensified by Manchester United.

The Old Trafford team is seeking to complete the departures of Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly while also adding a new defensive alternative to make sure Erik ten Hag’s team has enough depth in that position moving forward.

The France international, who is prepared to join Ten Hag’s initiative, has reportedly been the subject of negotiations with United, according to The Daily Mail. Only one year is left on his contract, which reportedly pays him £83,000 per week in Munich.

Bayern Munich is hesitant to part ways with their dependable defence despite RB Leipzig scoring three goals against them in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel wants to keep the 27-year-old despite Kim Min-Jae, a previous United target, joining Napoli. He is a dream defensive option for elite European teams due to his technical proficiency in possession and versatility as a right-back and center-back.

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga’s powerhouse club rejected United’s first official offer for Pavard. The Frenchman is still eager to join the Red Devils, though. He continues, saying there has been a “verbal agreement in principle.”

If Bayern doesn’t change its mind, United might switch to Nice center-back Jean-Clair Todibo. They dispatched their scouts to Friday’s match between Lille and the former Barcelona player.

Pavard may be the greatest alternative available for the English team in terms of transfer stats. Todibo and Marc Guehi, who are also on the club’s radar, will probably cost more than £40 million because of their extensive contracts with Nice and Crystal Palace, respectively.
