Man Utd submit offer to sign £51.6m Selecao player

The name of Vanderson is once again in the spotlight since Manchester United has been looking for a new right back for some time.

We previously reported on a September 2022 story from Sport claiming that the Red Devils have started the hiring process for the Brazilian full-back.

More recently, it was claimed by the Spanish media source (press image shown below) that Manchester United had made Vanderson a signing bid from Monaco.

Barcelona is reportedly interested in recruiting the 21-year-old as well, according to the Catalan news source, but they want to wait a year before hiring a new right back.

In addition to United, other Premier League teams have also made approaches, and the asking price of 60 million euros (£51.6m) remains the same as it was reported last year.

Erik ten Hag now has Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot playing in the right back position.

Dalot is Man United’s top pick for running back, and last month he even extended his deal until 2028. However, Wan-Bissaka, whose contract expires in 2024, also showed great promise in the second part of the campaign.

Vanderson is a quick superstar who can play anywhere on the field’s right side. He was even used by Monaco last year as a winger and a right midfielder.

He made 24 starts for the French team in Ligue 1 and contributed 5 assists in addition to a goal. For the forthcoming matches against Guinea and Senegal, he has been included in the Selecao roster.

Do Man Utd need a new fullback, please? Should they make Vanderson a £51.6 million offer?
