Man Utd agree £10.4million a year deal for signing

Only the price remains to be settled between the two clubs as Manchester United is closing in on signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount.

The England attacker has reportedly reached an agreement on a contract with the Red Devils, according to news reports from a few days ago. Recently, statistics were also made public.

Man United and the 24-year-old, who is a sought-after player this summer, have reportedly reached an agreement for £10.4 million year, or £200,000 per week.

The temptation of playing in the Champions League may have aided the Old Trafford club despite Liverpool’s strong efforts to woo the Three Lions star.

According to the news source, Chelsea originally placed a $80 million valuation on their prized asset but are now open to receiving offers around $70 million.

Stan Collymore believes that United will be paying an absurdly expensive price for Mount and that doing so would be a grave error. As reported by The Mirror, the former Anfield star said:

Mason Mount wouldn’t get paid more than £80 million if I were Manchester United’s head of recruiting, according to the statement.

I would bite Chelsea’s hands off if he was offered for £40 million. There is a chance that United will make the same Harry Maguire error once more, though, given the price being discussed.
