Mason Mount reportedly informs Chelsea that he wants to join Man United, according to sources
By the end of the week, Man United hopes to sign Mason Mount, according to sources who spoke to Football Insider.

The Chelsea star informed the club where he has spent his whole career that he wants to depart this summer after reaching a personal agreement with United.

Although the two clubs have not yet agreed on a deal, talks between United and the Londoners are moving further.

After initially asking for £80 million, Chelsea is still seeking close to £70 million for its academy product.

This website broke the news that Erik ten Hag’s team had reached a personal agreement with the midfielder on Friday, 2 June, while they worked to negotiate a cost with Chelsea.

Champions League play is a “big factor” in the choice of the England international to choose United over Liverpool for the upcoming campaign, according to Football Insider, which was published on Saturday, June 3.

Although Man United had taken the lead in the pursuit of Mount, Liverpool was also considering a move for him.

The 24-year-old is approaching the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge but has been unable to reach a deal with the organisation about an extension.

Because he wants to make as much money as the top earners in the squad, especially his England colleague Reece James, Mount has struggled to reach an extension agreement with his present club.

FBRef claims that Mount presently makes £80,000 per week.

As they work to complete a deal before the end of the week, Football Insider has discovered that Mount will make roughly £200,000 per week at Old Trafford.
