Mason Mount Is Likely to Join Manchester United

Mount appears prepared to leave Stamford Bridge

On the most recent episode of The London is Blue Podcast, Kinsella was interviewed, and he was asked about the rumoured move of Mount to Manchester United. Many Chelsea supporters will be disappointed by his reply. “It will take place.” He continued by discussing Mount’s departure and how it affects individuals who are tied to the team. “It feels like saying goodbye,” Kinsella remarked. The heartbroken England midfielder appeared to be waving goodbye to the Chelsea supporters during Mount’s lap of Stamford Bridge following the Newcastle match. “It feels like he’s replaceable,” Kinsella says in reference to his opinion of the player’s worth at Stamford Bridge.

He continues by saying that there won’t be any issues regarding the player’s personal matters with Erik Ten Hag’s personnel, but he does say that the cost might be the sole issue with this transaction. While Manchester United appears only willing to offer £50 million for the England international, Mount is supposedly valued at £80 million by Chelsea. The way Mount responded during the Newcastle match and the fact that he and Chelsea officials did not hold further contract negotiations seem to suggest that Mount’s future is outside of Stamford Bridge.

Mount Could Be Enhanced Microsoft United Midfield

Due to a lack of depth in the middle of the pitch, Manchester United suffered at vital moments during the entire season. When Ten Hag’s players were forced to compete without any of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, or Bruno Fernandes, a lack of depth was evident.

The 2022–23 season was disappointing, but Mount still has a lot to give. His sharp passing wonderfully fractures lines. The international for England is skilled at finding gaps to connect with his teammates. His work ethic is incredible, and he would surely add vigour and effort to the Manchester United midfield, which would ostensibly get better with his addition.
