If a deal is reached for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae, Manchester United will have acquired a defensive captain.
Giuseppe Bruscolotti, a former captain of Napoli, expressed this opinion to Casa Napoli, saying that he was pleased by the South Korean international’s organisational abilities.
Kim Min-Jae, whose contract contains a £42 million release clause that may be triggered in July, is reportedly being linked to a summer transfer to Manchester United, according to Goal.
Bruscolotti has bemoaned that if he left Napoli, United would be getting a top defender and a leader.
Kim Min-Jae would be very beneficial to Manchester United.
Because of his exceptional ability to support his teammates, Bruscolotti stated to Casa Napoli that “Napoli would lose a defensive organisation” without him. He appears to be an experienced champion despite his young age.
“Unfortunately, it’s clauses and counter clauses today, and if a club shows interest, they’ll take him. How can the players be kept if the president has set up a line of engagements and someone else offers him more?
Harry Maguire, who is anticipated to quit the club, would be replaced by Kim-Min Jae if he joined Manchester United.
This season, Maguire has started just seven Premier League games for United, and not one since April 16.
The former Leicester defender, who wears the captain’s armband, is in theory a “leader” at United. Maguire’s leadership has always been praised by Erik ten Hag, despite the fact that he hasn’t frequently chosen him.
Given that Maguire is a player he is hesitant to employ, Min-Jae may have stronger organisational and leadership skills, and it certainly seems worth the risk.
Even so, United could be able to sell Maguire for a price comparable to that needed to cover Min-Jae’s release clause.
