Man United and Liverpool duelling for brilliant Premier League defensive colossus

Manchester United and Liverpool are competing for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The Peoples Person recently covered a story that described United’s interest in Guehi, who has also piqued Tottenham Hotspur’s interest.

It was reported that Palace will not sell Guehi’s services for less than £50 million, which is roughly the same price the Red Devils paid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Concerning Guehi’s situation and potential availability, United has already made inquiries.

The Daily Mail claims that Liverpool is interested in Guehi, but the Merseyside club might be turned off by his asking price.

“Liverpool has joined the growing list of organisations vying for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.”

The 22-year-old England international, who could cost as much as £50 million, is also attracting interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, due to their focus on bolstering their midfield this summer, Jurgen Klopp’s team might not have the funds to make a bid for Guehi, according to Simon Jones.

It was revealed over the weekend that Alexis Mac Allister, a midfielder for Brighton & Hove Albion, is close to joining Liverpool.

Liverpool and Mac Allister are getting close to a deal regarding personal terms.

According to The Mail, Palace won’t make a decision regarding the future of players like Guehi until the new manager has been selected.

The Eagles are now assured of finishing comfortably in the mid-table positions under Roy Hodgson, who took over this season from Patrick Vieira.

Guehi’s current Selhurst Park contract expires in 2026, but given the high level of interest in the 22-year-old, Palace might be tempted to sell him this summer.
