Manchester United signing ‘practically done’ – Contract agreed, house arranged, ‘preparing to pay’

Kim Min-jae, a defender for Napoli, is close to signing with Manchester United, and a Manchester home has already been found for him.

‘Regardless of Napoli’s will,’ the defender is reportedly planning to leave the Serie A champions, according to Il Mattino.

They clarify that the deal with Erik ten Hag’s team is “practically done,” despite the player’s entourage having reservations about a transfer to Manchester United. In fact, it has advanced to the point where a “villa” in the upscale community of Alderley Edge has become available.

Although the Reds have not yet met with Napoli, Kim has a contract worth €9 million per season with Manchester United on the table.

That is a straightforward procedure that is also somewhat redundant given that they are “preparing to pay” the center-back’s €65 million release clause.

The amount of that clause has been reported to vary, with €65m being the highest amount to date.

The inclusion of any players to reduce the price won’t take place because Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has made it clear he won’t accept any such arrangement.

Victor Lindelöf will reportedly be a part of the agreement, as Manchester United has stated, but De Laurentiis ‘only wants cash,’ and that is just an idea at this point.

In any case, the rumour that Kim has a contract in place with Manchester United’s management and a house waiting for him suggests that this deal is now very close to being finalised.
