Man Utd offered £130m, now willing to finally sign £87m playmaker

Manchester United has only managed 49 goals in 34 Premier League games so far, and they have gone two games without scoring.

In the summer transfer window, the Red Devils desperately need to bolster their offence, and Ansu Fati’s name is once again in the spotlight.

The Spanish teenager wants to stay, but according to yesterday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo (news image supplied below), Barcelona can only sign stars after selling, therefore they may decide to unload him.

The Spanish media reported that Man Utd had made a large offer of 150 million euros (£130 million) to entice the No. 10 away from the Nou Camp, but it was rejected.

He is no longer a crucial part of the team, though, and the Catalan club does not want to offload him for a pittance.

Under Xavi Hernandez’s guidance, Fati has so far directly assisted in 10 goals this season, however he has only made 11 La Liga starts.

According to MD, United are eager to finalise the player’s signing this summer. Sport stated last month that the Old Trafford club is poised to make an offer.

Regarding the cost, it has been stated that at least 100 million euros (£87 million) will be required to acquire him from Barcelona.

Jadon Sancho and Antony were signed by Man Utd over the previous two summer transfer windows, however neither player has succeeded at the club.
