Going into the summer window, Man United has made Randal Kolo Muani a major priority.
This summer, the Manchester United Football Club needs a striker. Nothing can be done to avoid it. The Old Trafford team needs a striker they can bank on to score 25 goals or more per season in those close-knit games.
Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt is one of the names connected. Earlier this week, we discussed a Sky Germany claim that credited the Reds with an interest.
A new report on the Muani incident has just been released through Twitter by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
The 24-year-old has reportedly been designated as a “priority” signing by United, however Bayern Munich has also made him a priority. PSG is also interested.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s asking price for the player this summer is €100m (£88m). Clearly, that’s a sizable chunk of money.
Muani has made 41 appearances for Frankfurt this season, and during his excellent debut season in the Bundesliga, he has scored 21 goals in all competitions. This demonstrates that the Frenchman is capable of adjusting to a new league quickly rather than needing time.
Those figures ought to climb as the quality around him does as well. Partnering him with players like Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes will only be beneficial for Muani’s career.
However, it is concerning that Bayern Munich is interested in the player. Muani feels at ease in Germany right now. He might replace Robert Lewandowski as Bayern’s star player and move to Bavaria with the assurance of several trophies each year.
United will at the very least need to provide Champions League games. The reds are currently three league victories away from securing precisely that.
