Man United now in pole for Europe’s hottest star as Bayern “cool” their interest

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli who is also wanted by Manchester United, is no longer a target for Bayern Munich.

As the Dutchman plans to bolster his attacking unit, Osimhen is one of the strikers at the top of his summer wishlist.

The Red Devils are still interested in Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspurs in addition to Osimhen.

Bayern Munich’s interest in Osimhen was highlighted in a piece that The Peoples Person reported. The Bundesliga’s juggernauts appear willing to break their rule against spending excessive sums of money on a single player in order to sign Thomas Tuchel, a world-class goalscorer.

According to Florian Plettenberg, despite Bayern’s change in stance, Osimhen is still too pricey for them, hence the German powerhouse is looking at alternative possibilities.

Plettenberg asserts, “Due to his price tag, the interaction with Bayern has cooled down. A transfer is currently out of Bayern’s budget.

“The club will only spend up to €100 million on a new striker, and [Napoli] are still asking for up to €150 million. Bayern knows about it. Therefore, there are currently no formal discussions with Bayern.

According to Plettenberg, Osimhen’s most likely course of action is to join either Manchester United or Chelsea in the Premier League.

Paris Saint-Germain is the second team said to be after Osimhen, but Plettenberg claims that these rumours are unfounded at this time.

“Recognise that at this time, PSG is not his top choice. Despite the fact that his Parisian employers are quite supportive of him.

“With clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United, it’s more tangible.”

Plettenberg draws attention to the rivalry between Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani that exists at Old Trafford.

The Reds now have a significant advantage to convince Ten Hag to make Ten Hag his main man thanks to Bayern’s departure and the fact that United are well-positioned to provide Osimhen Champions League football before Chelsea.
