Erik ten Hag of Manchester United is interested in signing midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer after being “amazed” by him during their most recent FA Cup match.

The World Cup champion is expected to be “one of the biggest names” of the summer transfer season, according to the Argentine version of AS.

They go on to say that his outstanding campaign with Brighton has ‘attracted the attention’ of some of the biggest teams in Europe, with Manchester United being one of them.

He has an agreement to depart this summer if his team receives a financial offer that meets their needs; the asking price is said to be “close to €70m,” as it has been with previous players at the club.
It is nearly certain that he will leave, and the only question now is where he will go after that, with Manchester United being one of the options.

The Brighton star is a favourite of Erik Ten Hag, who was “amazed” by his performance when his team faced Brighton in the FA Cup. Ten Hag envisions the Brighton star as a potential Casemiro teammate in a double pivot in United’s midfield.

He has placed Mac Allister “almost at the top of the list” of objectives for the summer as he plans for a partial clear-out of the team because he is versatile and can play on the wing or in midfield.
