Exciting Qatar takeover news: Reporter shares Man Utd update from “those close” to Sheikh Jassim

Ben Jacobs says that Sheikh Jassim will make his third bid for Manchester United on Friday and is optimistic about success.

Jassim has made two attempts to seize control of the Premier League giants so far and has recently been extensively linked to buying out the Glazers.

Last month, in what was called an amazing development, the Qatar investors and Sir Jim Ratcliffe initially missed the deadline for second proposals and demanded an extension. With a price tag of more than £5 billion, Jassim’s most recent offer was believed to be a record-breaking sum, but parties now have until this Friday to submit their final offers.

Jacobs gave a thorough update on the Red Devils takeover procedure on Twitter and called it a “big week” at Old Trafford.

Although “those close” to both have insisted they won’t make rash bids, he claimed that “Jassim will bid again on Friday and remains confident” while “sources close to Ratcliffe are a little more coy”. A full sale is “more likely than a minority investor at this stage,” according to Jacobs, who also noted that “there is definitely still competitive tension between bidders.”

An important week for Jassim and Man Utd?

Jassim has reportedly been making transfer preparations to bolster Erik ten Hag’s team because he is so eager to start playing at Old Trafford.

It was earlier suggested that Jassim make a bid for England international and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. Jassim is a “huge fan” of Bellingham. Recent rumours indicate that the Red Devils are getting ready to make a series of high-profile acquisitions under Jassim, with the superstar of Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar, reportedly interested in a move to Manchester.

It may be a crucial few days in the takeover process since, according to Jacobs, “the point of the third stage is to get a deal quite close to signing.” It appears that Jassim’s offer will be announced in 48 hours in an exciting update.
