Paul Scholes blasts two players as Manchester United crash out of Europa League

Jadon Sancho was criticized by Paul Scholes for ‘not being ready’ for Manchester United’s Europa League match against Sevilla, and David de Gea was criticized for his part in the shocking loss.

Sevilla, the six-time champions, dashed United’s chances of winning the Europa League by advancing to the semi-finals with a 3-0 victory on Thursday.

In the first leg at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag’s team grabbed a dominant 2-0 lead before being pegged back by two own goals.

Youssef En-Nesyri capitalized on a Harry Maguire slip-up early in the second leg to put the hosts in ahead as Sevilla kept up its momentum.

After the halftime, Sevilla increased their lead in the game thanks to a Loic Bade header that David de Gea was unable to stop. Manchester United had avoided further damage at this point.

De Gea, who assisted in Sevilla’s first goal, then allowed En-Nesyri to score the third goal for the hosts when he botched a through ball.

At halftime, Scholes, a former player for Manchester United, lamented the team’s sluggish start in Seville and claimed that several players, including Sancho, did not appear to be’ready’ for the contest.

Manchester United was shocked by Sevilla.

Scholes told BT Sport, “We saw how hostile the crowd was before the game.” You have to give Sevilla credit for being so aggressive.

“During the warm-ups, we were praising the crowd for being hostile and aggressive.”

“I need to be ready for this and my first touch has to be ready,” the United players must think when they enter the dressing room when they see and hear this.

In the first five minutes of tonight’s game, Jadon Sancho received a poor pass and had the ball bounce off him three times. Although I’m a big fan of the young man, you need to get going and be prepared.
