With games approaching thick and fast, Erik ten Hag has given both good and bad news regarding Manchester United’s injuries.

The main worry for United supporters was Lisandro Martinez, who had to be helped off the field in his final game due to what many believed to be a very serious achilles injury.

Since then, Raphael Varane’s manager has offered an update and verified that it isn’t an achilles injury.

Ten Hag remarked, “I can’t tell what it is, but it’s not an achilles. “I chatted with him, and he is calm and in good shape. He won’t play on Sunday, I believe due to an injury. I am unable to disclose the diagnosis. I would rather wait and find out.

“That injury, he complained about it over the last couple of weeks and we have to see how it is now,” Ten Hag continued of Varane.

The fact that Marcus Rashford, who has been the team’s leading scorer this season, has been ruled out due to injury is a major worry for United.

Man United’s ailment

Although the Englishman had to leave the field with a limp after his most recent game, ten Hag wouldn’t rule him out of playing Sevilla in the second leg.

When asked if Rashford could return in time to play Sevilla, Ten Hag replied, “There is a chance, but I can’t confirm anything at this time.

They will need all the firepower they can get because Bruno Fernandes will unluckily be suspended for the game.
