The’most concrete bid’ this summer for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly been made by Manchester United.
What has changed recently regarding Kolo Muani and Man United?
Erik ten Hag, who is entering his second season as manager at Old Trafford, appears to be prioritizing the acquisition of a new forward. Harry Kane of Tottenham and Victor Osimhen of Napoli have both been mentioned as potential targets.
Kolo Muani appears to also be on United’s radar for a transfer, as confirmed by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, who added that the France international is ‘definitely on the list’ of possibilities even though Osimhen is thought to be better internally. Kolo Muani, a former Manchester United fan, has since received an additional update.
A SportBILD update from the previous 48 hours regarding Kolo Muani and United was relayed by Sport Witness. They asserted that Manchester United’s offer for the player is the “most concrete” so far this summer, as Frankfurt is seeking to recoup a transfer fee greater than €100 million (£88 million).
Kolo Muani’s ‘power and technique’ are reportedly liked by United, but they also value his dedication to the defensive side of his game.

Would Kolo Muani be a wise addition to Man United’s roster?
Kolo Muani, who has been dubbed “special” by some media outlets, has had an incredibly productive first season with his current club, helping to score 33 goals in 39 games across all competitions.
He has more goals and assists this season than in any of his previous campaigns, and as a result, the 24-year-old’s Transfermarkt valuation has soared to a career-high €65m (£58m).
Given that Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst have combined to score just nine goals this season, it appears that Old Trafford is in need of a real goalscoring threat in the box. The France international can also play on the wing if necessary.
Kane and Osimhen, who both routinely reach double digits in league goals, are more experienced options, despite Kolo Muani’s impressive nine-month stint with Frankfurt.
Kane has scored 10 or more goals in the league since the 2014–15 season; Osimhen has done so since the 2018–19 season. Though you could argue that all three are good additions, Kane has more Premier League experience than the other two and appears to be focused on breaking the division’s goalscoring record. Kane may look to pursue this goal in Manchester.
