This summer, Manchester United must outbid Arsenal and Liverpool for the services of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton & Hove Albion.

In the upcoming transfer window, the Red Devils are probably going to spend big money on another star midfielder, and Mac Allister is one of the players they are most interested in.

The 24-year-old is reportedly a target for United, Arsenal, and Liverpool this summer, according to Argentine journalist Luis Cesar Merlo.

With Brighton, two of those clubs are “already negotiating.” According to reports, the player’s father and agent are keeping an eye on things in England.

Our opinion is that United must sign the World Cup winner before their Premier League opponents.

Mac Allister would make a great addition to the midfield.

Brighton made a wise choice by acquiring Mac Allister. He originally played defensive midfield but can now also play central and attacking midfield.

With each victory, his reputation has grown, and Brighton will probably seek a higher transfer cost. After the World Cup final, Transfermarkt gave him a valuation of £37 million.

Given his tremendous improvement, Brighton could easily request a price increase of twofold. Mac Allister has scored 10 goals for his team this year, five of which came from open play.

The Argentine has also contributed by providing a few assists. Defensively, he has also been fantastic with an average of 2.2 tackles and 5.5 duels won in the Premier League.

88% of Mac Allister’s passes have been completed. With the exception of his aerial abilities, he does not appear to have any disadvantages, thus United must hire him.

He would be a great acquisition because he can play in three different midfield positions. Although the cost might be on the higher side, he would be a good investment.

Mac Allister’s playing career is just approaching its peak, therefore he can only get better. His adaptability makes him a no-brainer for United to sign.
