The England international reportedly hopes that his new contract is worth that much money, but he’s since turned to Twitter to refute that claim, according to The Daily Star.

Rashford presently makes £200,000 per week at Old Trafford, according to Spotrac. But even if he did request a salary raise, you couldn’t hold it against him.

According to Transfermarkt, he has been in outstanding form this year, scoring more than 25 goals across all categories.

What has Marcus Rashford and Man United’s Ben Jacobs said?

Rashford, according to Jacobs, wishes to reach an extension with United.

The journalist said in an interview with GIVEMESPORT: “I believe Marcus Rashford was right to come out and dismiss claims that he’s asking $500,000 per week. New contract talks are never easy, but the good news for Manchester United is that Rashford is determined to reach a deal.

“And this has actually been the case for a longer period of time than perhaps people realize because when Rashford spoke to PSG, even though they were very intent on signing him, they came away from that conversation feeling a little bit like they were being used as leverage and that Rashford’s preference was to stay at Manchester United,” the article continues.

How much will Marcus Rashford receive from Man United?

At the beginning of the year, The Mail on Sunday claimed that United had implemented a £200,000 weekly salary cap.

But if the Red Devils want to keep Rashford, you think they may have to compromise on that. He is already making that much money and is having a great season. Additionally, the England international has opportunity to improve because he is still only 25 years old. His supporters will undoubtedly believe that he merits a pay raise after taking all of that into account.

Breaking the cap for Rashford could create a dangerous precedent if the club is really attempting to impose a salary cap. He’s too crucial a talent for Erik ten Hag to lose, if this season is any indication.
