According to The Daily Star, Manchester United is prepared to formally pursue Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The England player recently scored his 200th goal in the Premier League, where he has been one of the league’s most reliable scorers.

Kane has been rumored to be leaving Spurs for a while, and it is now claimed that he is ready to move on to a greater task.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, has made the 29-year-old his top target because he thinks he will elevate the team to real title contender status.

He is also being considered by Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, but Ten Hag hopes to beat the competition by meeting with Spurs in the upcoming weeks.

In July, Kane will begin the concluding year of his deal with the Spurs. United is confident that they can acquire him this summer in a transaction worth £80 million.

Looking for an experienced Premier League striker, Ten Hag

Prior to the upcoming season, United is in need of a star center-forward, and they have already been connected to a number of renowned figures from across Europe.

Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Goncalo Ramos of Benfica have both frequently been named as potential transfer targets.

Osimhen and Ramos, who have scored 25 and 24 goals, respectively, this season, are reportedly available for £132 million and £106 million, respectively.

Both strikers are in the prime of their careers, but it seems that Ten Hag wants to go after Kane because of his extensive English experience.

Kane doesn’t appear to be easing down. This season, he has already scored 23 goals. His streak of nine straight seasons with 20 or more goals tallied continues this year.

Given that there will be more inventive players around him at Old Trafford than at Spurs, he could easily average 30 goals for the upcoming seasons.

Although Kane might not be a long-term investment for the Red Devils, he would undoubtedly guarantee goals in the upcoming seasons and place United in the running for the league championship.
