Dean Jones, a journalist, thinks that the Manchester United target has what it takes to catch up to Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham.

Erik ten Hag applauds the supporters According to journalist Dean Jones, Manchester United target Romeo Lavia has the ability to compete with Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham.

One team rumored to be interested in the Southampton midfielder, who Jones has called “one of the fast emerging talents” in the Premier League, is the Red Devils.

United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal are all keeping an eye on Lavia, claims Football Insider.

The 19-year-old only moved from City to Southampton this summer, but it already seems like he’s made enough of an impression on both his previous team and their rivals.

The same source asserts that Lavia’s possible asking price could reach £45 million for the player in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Transfermarkt, he has played 19 games in the Premier League this year.

What have Dean Jones’ comments on Romeo Lavia been?

Jones is certain that Lavia will one day reach the level at which Bellingham and De Jong are.

The transfer insider told GIVEMESPORT that he was one of the league’s quickly developing stars. To be honest, I think he would fit in very well. Although he isn’t now on the same level as De Jong and Bellingham, there is definitely potential for him to rise to that level.

Why is Romeo Lavia so popular at the moment?

This year, he has greatly impressed Southampton. The Belgian now averages 1.9 tackles per game, which is the fourth-highest average on his team, according to WhoScored.

Out of Rubén Sellés’ current roster of players, Lavia has the highest pass success rate (86.7%).

Axel Witsel, a fellow countryman, has now predicted that he will advance to the Belgium national team.

Before the most recent set of international matches, the Atletico Madrid midfielder told Eleven Sports (via RTL Belgium), “We have very good young people who are ready to take over the national team.”

I’m not sure if we have 10, but it’s obvious that… in the instance of [Amadou] Onana, who has previously been with us, he is already prepared to take on a somewhat more significant position. Also coming to mind is Arthur Theate. Additionally, [Jeremy] Doku has previously been with us.

Romeo Lavia, who hasn’t yet joined us, I believe they are players who are ready, Witsel later added.

The former City player has time to develop into an even greater footballer because he is still only 19 years old. In the end, it’s easy to understand why the Premier League’s top players desire him.
