In advance of the summer transfer window, Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is a target for Manchester United, according to Ekstra Bladet. (page 31).

The 20-year-old began the year as a regular starter for the Serie A team after joining them from Sturm Graz before the transfer deadline last summer.

Eight of his ten goals have come in 2023, out of a total of 10. United are reportedly displaying ‘solid interest’ in him right now, albeit they haven’t yet spoken to his agent.

Hojlund admitted in January that he is an avid supporter of the Red Devils, and according to Ekstra Bladet, he may be lured away for a sum of 300–400 million DKK (£35–47 million).

Hojlund has the capacity to develop into a top striker.

At the age of 20, the Dane is still learning his craft, but he has already displayed flashes of his enormous talent.

Recently, Hojlund shone in the 2-0 victory over Lazio. In addition to scoring, he won nine ground and aerial battles and won six of his eight attempted takedowns.

He also made three crucial passes and came close to scoring a brilliant solo goal. The striker successfully dribbled through the defense and midfield, but the goalkeeper stopped him.

Therefore, it is not surprise that United are paying special attention to him. The 20-year-old’s spectacular hat-trick for Denmark in midweek should only spark further interest in him.

In our perspective, United must initiate talks with Atalanta as soon as possible to ensure a summer agreement. Personal interactions might only be a formality given Hojlund’s aspirations to play for the team.
