Given the choices available to manager Erik ten Hag at the moment, Manchester United must sign a top striker immediately.

Marcus Rashford leads the squad in goals scored with 27 but prefers to play on the left wing and is not the ideal option as a target man up front.

loan agreement Strikers like Wout Weghorst and Anthony Martial have played themselves up. The international player from the Netherlands has shown a lot of heart and fire, but since his arrival in January, he has only scored twice.

At overtime, a striker is needed.

The Frenchman’s injury issues won’t go away, though. Ten Hag trusted the No. 9 and offered him the opportunity to revive his career, but he now understands that it makes no sense to continue to trust the France international.

Ten Hag: We’re in the ideal situation…

According to TeamTalk, the club has developed an ambitious plan as a result. The club has the option to extend Martial’s contract by an additional year until 2024.

The idea is to exercise that clause, try to recover £25 million from his sale, and then utilize that money to bolster the team’s most important positions. Martial had cost £54 million, including bonuses, when he came from Monaco.

The Red Devils have intended to bring in long-term target Moussa Dembele on a free in lieu of the injury-prone Frenchman.

“Martial might be permitted to leave this summer for a reasonable cost of perhaps £25 million. United allegedly wants to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon in his place.

Martial is replaced by Dembele.

Ten Hag wants him to replace Martial at Manchester United. The player is apparently seen as an upgrade by Ten Hag, and he will likely join on for pay considerably less than Martial does, according to the source.

Dembele, who is more of a goal threat than Weghorst, would also be content with his replacement role. And his arrival wouldn’t affect United’s efforts to sign Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane.

Last season, the 26-year-old scored 22 goals in 36 games, but this time around, he has had a less than stellar campaign, scoring only three goals in 25 games.

But from the perspective of United, his comparatively inexpensive price and prior goal record make for an appealing option. Due to his early-career stint at Fulham, Dembele is also an expert in English football.
