Marcus Rashford has been a standout for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag this season. The England international is now just three goals away from reaching 30 for the year; Robin van Persie was the last player to reach that mark for the team.

In light of the Man Utd bid, Ten Hag describes his meeting with Ratcliffe.

Marcus Rashford scored on Thursday night as Manchester United defeated Real Betis 1-0 in the Europa League. It was Rashford’s 27th goal of the year. A fantastic strike from outside the area by the England international that found the bottom corner broke the score in Spain. And as a result, he is now only three goals away from tying Robin van Persie’s previous 30-goal haul from the days when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.

Rashford’s career appeared to be at a crossroads at the start of the current campaign.

The England international struggled alongside the rest of his teammates last season as the team went through a terrible season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Even Rashford’s prospective sale by United was discussed, with typical suspects like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain being mentioned.

But, Rashford has since recovered and cemented his position as one of the top attacking players in all of football.

On Thursday night, the 25-year-old once more impressed as he caused Betis a variety of issues before finally breaking the tie with a thunderbolt shot.
