Paul Scholes has defied convention by pleading with Manchester United to sign

The striker from Inter Milan, in the opinion of the former Manchester United midfielder, would be a preferable option over the Nigerian hitman since he “would suit Erik ten Hag’s style of play” better.

In the forthcoming summer transfer window, Ten Hag is looking for a star striker.

Harry Kane is also on the list as a potential No. 9 that Man United would like to sign. The team should prioritize trying to sign Martinez before any other player, according to Scholes, who thinks Kane would be too difficult to steal from Spurs.
