According to the German publication Bild, Manchester United is apparently preparing a massive £106 million offer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani in the summer.

The 24-year-old has had an outstanding first season at the Deutsche Bank Park after joining the Bundesliga team for free last summer. In 23 league appearances, he has scored 11 goals and recorded 10 assists.

The striker was rewarded for showcasing his skills with Oliver Glasner’s team by receiving a call-up to the French national team, where he helped his country advance to the World Cup final before falling to Argentina on penalties.

The Frenchman’s strong exploits with Frankfurt appear to have caught the eye of major teams around Europe, with Man United recently being mentioned in connection with a move for him.

Bild claims that Manchester United is ready to make a substantial offer of more than €120 million (£106 million) to entice Kolo Muani away from Deutsche Bank Park at the end of current season.

to Manchester United: Kolo Muani

The 24-year-availability old’s will make it difficult for Erik ten Hag’s team to sign him, according to the report, since Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing the gifted forward.

Although Manchester United secured the services of Wout Weghorst on a short-term loan deal this winter, it has been widely rumored that the club is trying to sign a new marquee number nine to improve their attack.

Kolo Muani is one of the strikers who has already been connected with a transfer to the Red Devils, but it has been claimed that Harry Kane is the main goal for Ten Hag’s team.

But, a recent source claimed that regardless of whether the forward signs a new contract over the next few months, Tottenham Hotspur does not want to sell their hitman in the summer when his present contract expires at the end of the upcoming campaign.

Thus, Man Utd will be forced to consider other possibilities, and Kolo Muani might be a good addition, if they are unable to retain the services of the England international at the conclusion of this season.

Given that he has yet to regularly perform at the highest level, the rumoured £106 million price seems greatly inflated, and United would be better suited using that money to sign Victor Osimhen.
