Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s new manager, has led the team to success so far this season, but to fight for the title the following year, significant additions must be made in the summer.

Gabri Veiga, a Spanish playmaker, is reportedly close to signing with the Red Devils, if claims in the media are to be believed.

According to a recent article published by The Mirror (news image provided below), Manchester United and Newcastle United are the top two Premier League teams pursuing the Celta Vigo offensive midfielder.

According to the news source, the 20-year-old starlet’s present contract includes a release clause of £35 million, and the Spanish team is attempting to increase it.

Veiga, whose contract with the La Liga club is set to expire in the summer of 2026, made his debut for the first squad this year.

The young player has been very excellent, especially under the direction of his new manager, Carlos Carvalhal, and is capable of playing in central midfield, on the right wing, and as the No. 10 position.

Veiga has made 17 starts for Celta Vigo in league play thus far, and he has directly assisted 11 goals (8 goals and 3 assists).

It’s fair to assume that Manchester United spent cash on expensive offensive acquisitions like Jadon Sancho and Antony.

In order to adequately bolster the offense, Ten Hag will need to sign a top-tier striker and a talented attacking midfielder next summer.
