Victor Osimhen of Napoli is allegedly at the top of Manchester United’s list of players they want to sign during the upcoming summer transfer window.

As Marcus Rashford has been the Red Devils’ primary goal scorer, Erik ten Hag is eager to bring in a center-forward. Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa and Goncalo Ramos of SL Benfica have also been mentioned, but Ten Hag is rumored to favor the Nigerian.

For Serie A’s top team, Napoli, Victor Osimhen has been on fire this season, scoring 21 goals and dishing out five assists in just 27 games across competitions. His working relationship with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has flourished as Gli Azzurri lead Inter Milan by an incredible 18 points at the top of the standings.

Given his blazing speed, physical power, and aptitude for winning duels and dribbling past opponents, the Nigerian striker is the ideal marksman for any elite team. Legends from the past like Thierry Henry and Rivaldo exhibited these traits, and they would help United’s offensive play. With 19 goals, Osimhen now leads Serie A in scoring.

Manchester United is nonetheless aware of how challenging dealing with Aurelio De Laurentiis and Napoli can be. They are aware that the Italian club will not lower its demand.

The Red Devils are planning an opening offer of €100 million for Victor Osimhen, claims Calcio Mercato (via fichajes.net). Despite the fact that the bid is well below what Napoli requested, United is still optimistic about closing the transaction.

Following a slump in form, Manchester United will want to get things back on track.

A few weeks ago, Manchester United lost to rivals Liverpool 7-0 at Anfield, handing them their worst Premier League defeat ever. The fact that United was only 1-0 behind at halftime and gave up six goals in the second half made the defeat even more shocking.

They easily defeated Real Betis 4-1 in the first leg of the round of 16 Europa League match, but a goalless draw against Southampton in the league presented them with yet another obstacle.

Ten Hag’s issues grew worse when Casemiro received his second straight red of the year in that game. The Brazilian will now serve a four-game suspension as a result.
