Certainly, that’s a lot of money, but in this case you are paying for longevity. If all goes well, Camavinga could serve you for at least ten years.

Whether Real Madrid would genuinely sell one of their most valuable assets is the key question. In that Madrid midfield, Camavinga can play a variety of roles, therefore I find it difficult to see why they would want to sell him.

It also depends on whether United is willing to spend so much money on a single player while still in need of improvement in other areas. The Reds are obviously in serious need of a top-tier attacker, and the defense also needs some improvement.

A lot also relies on who owns what. For better or worse, depending on if the Glazers sell up, United may have new managers in place by the summer. If they’re still alive, God forbid, I don’t see how this approach will succeed.
