If there is one player who deserves a bumper pay rise at Manchester United then it is England international, Marcus Rashford.

The Three Lions star has been in the form of his life this season and the Red Devils must extend his contract, which is due to expire in the summer of 2024.

According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, Man Utd are ready to agree fresh terms with the 25-year-old, who earns around £200,000 a week.

The Old Trafford outfit do not want to break their pay structure and offer mammoth wages and in such a scenario, Rashford is set to get a deal that will make him earn £300,000 a week, £78million in the next five years.

Last season, the 51-capped international was out of form and only managed to score 5 goals in 32 appearances.

In the current campaign, so far, he has started 20 games in all competitions under the management of Dutch boss, Erik ten Hag, and directly contributed in 22 goals (16 goals and 6 assists).

The speedy attacker has found the net in the last seven games on the trot and at the weekend, he scored the winner against champions, Manchester City.

At the FIFA World Cup, Rashford scored a goal against Iran and a brace vs Wales to help England earn maximum points.

Have your say – Does Marcus Rashford deserve a deal worth £78million?
