Manchester United are looking to replace Ronaldo at Old Trafford and have moved in to lure Vincent Aboubakar from Al-Nassr.

As per a report covered by OKAZ, the Saudi club need to offload an international player to register Cristiano and they have reached an agreement with the Cameroonian striker to leave.

The news source have mentioned that Man Utd and Turkish side, Fenerbahce, have submitted offers to sign the forward on loan and it is likely he will move to Old Trafford.

Aboubakar is a proven quality goalscorer, who has ample experience of playing in Europe. Back in 2021, he opted to move to Al-Nassr and signed a deal worth £101,000 a week, 6 million euros a season, until 2024 (Arab News).

The 92-capped international was a key member of the national side that won the African Cup of Nations in 2017. He scored the winning goal in the final against Egypt.

Last year, in the AFCON, Aboubakar won the Golden Boot after netting 8 goals in 7 appearances for Cameroon, who earned third place in the competition.

At the FIFA World Cup, the African superstar scored a goal and provided an assist to help his team earn a point against Serbia.

Moreover, he scored a late goal to earn a famous win for Cameroon against Brazil in the last group game. However, the victory was not enough to book a place in the Round of 16.

Man Utd do need to reinforce their strike force and I think Vincent Aboubakar will be a top stop-gap signing until the end of the campaign. What do you think?
