If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are ready to make Jack Butland their first signing of the January transfer window.

As per The Telegraph today (news image provided below), with Martin Dubravka returning to Newcastle following his loan spell, Man Utd are close to signing Jack Butland

According to talkSPORT, the Red Devils considered bringing Dean Henderson back from Nottingham Forest but they are now set to sign Butland from the Eagles.

The 29-year-old star’s current deal with Palace will expire in 6 months, therefore, United are looking to pay a very low fee to get his signing done this month.

The 20-time English champions lured Dubravka from the magpies in the summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old veteran made two appearances in the League Cup under the management of Dutch coach, Erik ten Hag, but has now returned to Tyneside.

Jack Butland, who earns around £35,000 a week, has not made a single appearance in the current campaign for Patrick Vieira’s side due to a fracture finger.

In fact, in the past three seasons, he has mainly warmed the bench and made just 18 appearances in all competitions for Crystal Palace.

The 9-capped international has got ample experience under his belt but do you think he is a good enough
