It is likely the South American will move to the Premier League but it is reported that to counter the proposals forwarded by the English sides, the Eagles are readying a new contract.
The Liga Nos giants are are ready to pay Enzo a ‘hefty premium’ and a bumper pay rise while increasing the release clause to 150 million euros. A Benfica source told the media outlet:
“We want to reward the player. He will be rewarded, a reward for his sporting commitment if he stays, and he knows it. But he is the one who has to decide. Our bet is clear”
Man Utd’s current record signing is Paul Pogba, who joined from the Old Lady for a fee of £89million (Sky Sports) and moved back to Italy last summer on a bosman.
