Another day, another report linking Manchester United with Argentine international, Enzo Fernandez.

As per today’s version of Correio da Manha (news image provided below), the Red Devils are in the front line with Chelsea to hire the services of the World Cup winning midfielder.

The famous Portuguese media outlet have mentioned that Man Utd are preparing an offer worth over £106million (120 million euros) to secure the 21-year-old boy.

It is stated that the Old Trafford outfit and the Blues are looking to pay even more than the player’s termination clause to beat the strong competition from Liverpool and Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

CM Jornal claim it is highly likely the La Albiceleste midfielder will leave Benfica in the January transfer window even though he just moved to the club last summer.

President, Rui Costa, does not want to lose the talented youngster until the end of the season but with clubs willing to activate the release clause, there is nothing he can do if Enzo decides to leave next month.

The report suggests that in case of a sale, Benfica are preparing to carry out a transaction of more than 126 million euros which they received from the departure of Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid back in 2019.

In the summer, Man Utd replaced defensive midfielder, Nemanja Matic, by signing Casemiro. However, they are yet to replace creative midfielder, Paul Pogba. Eriksen is past his best and has mainly featured as a deep-lying passer.

Correio da Manha claim if United seal the signing, the deal will break their transfer record fee of 105 million euros paid to lure Pogba from Juventus in 2016.
