Two Premier League clubs plotting January move for Man Utd star recently praised by Erik ten Hag

Two Premier League clubs are plotting a January move for Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 25-year-old has been behind Diogo Dalot in the United pecking order throughout the season. Indeed, before the World Cup, he had only managed four minutes of first-team football in all competitions this term.

However last Wednesday Wan-Bissaka started and starred as United beat Burnley 2-0 in the Carabao Cup.

As well as claiming a clean sheet, the full-back played a key role in United’s opening goal, setting up Christian Eriksen with a brilliant assist on the stretch.

Despite taking his rare opportunity in the first team, Wan-Bissaka is still tipped to leave United in January.

Will Wan-Bissaka move in January?

The Athletic have claimed Crystal Palace and Wolves are to battle it out for the signature of Wan-Bissaka.

The full-back signed for United from Palace for a reported £45m, with £5m worth of add-ons back in 2019 and went on to become a regular at Old Trafford.

Having lost his place last season under interim manager Ralf Ragnick, the Eagles could look to re-sign the player, who is a product of their Beckenham academy.

Indeed, talks of Wan-Bissaka returning to Selhurst Park were fuelled by Palace manager Patrick Vieira last week.

The former-Arsenal midfielder said: “Listen, he is a Man United player. We have to respect that and there’s nothing more to say about that.

“He is a good player, there is no doubt about that. He’s related to this football club, and I think he’s been loved by the fans.

“But again, he’s a United player. I hope we’re going to be busy [in January].

“We always work hard to try to improve the squad but we know how tough and difficult it is to find the players to improve the team.

“We are quite short on numbers but it is important to find the right players.”

Could Wan-Bissaka sign for Wolves?

The Athletic claim that Wolves are also in the race to sign the Wan-Bissaka, and have identified the full-back as one of their top targets.

New boss Julen Lopetegui will be provided significant funds to reinforce the squad and lift the club from the bottom three.
